And for cross-play games like PlayStation All-Stars and Zombie Tycoon 2, is it possible to self-boost online trophies by using the same account on both systems simultaneously, or at the very least, boost just the Vita MP trophies by using an alternate account on the PS3?

Im confused with LIMBO, the game is on sale now and on the PS BLOG someone asked if it was cross-buy on the comments and the guy said its not, but then i see lots of people saying they bought one version and got the other for free.
The majority of these games are using PSN written trophy guides, however some will be using YouTube video guides or XBox achievement guides (I have cross-referenced the achievements to make sure trophies are the same).
There are several ways, some games show PS4/PS5 in the title, some games put in the description that its cross buy or that buying one version entitles you to the other version, and some games wait till you buy the ps4 version and then a free ps5 upgrade appears in the store which can be more difficult to research
@badbob001 I'm also confused on how does it all work. If i buy the PS4 version do I get the PS5 version for free? Like with Assassins Creed Valhalla? Or will i get an upgrade that i can play the PS4 version on PS5? Or is that the same? I dont understand the difference because some games say if you buy the PS4 version you will get the PS5 version too. On COD Cold war it even costs 10$ more if you buy the cross gen version. Others only say its "Playable on PS5 with an upgrade" So i suppose thats a difference? Because i want to pre-order Spiderman Miles Morales on PS4 and some other games but I am not sure if i'll get a full PS5 version later or just an upgrade or if its the same.
Some PS4 Games on disc covers didn't have a tag that said PS5 Upgrade Available. Also, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is upgradeable, so that needs to be added to the list. Also, Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard, even though it is a cross-gen bundle.

Is this only games that are cross play between all 3 console platforms? If thats the case its going to remain a very tiny list, mostly because the Switch is not likely to get most of the "modern AAA" titles that the Xbox One and PS4 are going to get, so the opportunity for cross play between all 3 is going to be very limited.
not gonna happen with the likes of destiny 2. and i can't imagine it'll happen with games which require playstation owners to agree to sign up to xbox live accounts. with fortnite, they may be satsified that all platforms are tied into an epic games account, and no info is shared directly.
I can't wait for destiny 2 to become cross play i really can't, it's bound to happen since it's moving to steam this month. I expect it next year and I expect a PS5 version to come as well because after moving my saves to pc from PS4 and experience it in 60fps I can't go back to PS4 version
As a switch and PS4 owner with split custody of my kids, I cant think cross-platform gaming is a life saver. I play Fortnite, Paladins, Rocket leauge, and Real Royal regularly. Most importantly I play them with my girls when they are not around. We don't have to see each other to go on an adventure together. Thought this list is old news and nothing new has come out since like September of last year. Except Dauntless which we also play. It kills me to hear people say this is useless. It is a unified gaming community where we can remain in contact with friends thousands of miles away, or meet new friends across the globe. I would lover to see the MMORPG jump to switch in a cross platform environment but I do believe it is a little under powered. But these F2P games are paving the way and should be commended for the accomplishment not ridiculed.
Well this article is heavily biased in Microsoft's false advertising PR statement regarding crossplay. Sony has supported crossplay since the PS2, and was actively supporting it with PS4 whenever they came wrongly under fire by the Xbox camp. You can't say they weren't doing it just because it wasn't working with Fortnite, as it was actively working with a plethora of games already. Goalposts moved, Microsoft tricked the majority of you, simple facts.
@Agramonte @jbreez00Genshin Impact does have cross-play, meaning you can play with people from other devices from PS4 and vice versa. It's cross-platform progression, or cross-save, that it doesn't have between PS4 and others.
What about games like Genshin Impact that is cross-play & cross-progression on PS4/5, PC and mobile (it's not on other consoles yet). FYI it wasn't cross-play on PS at launch, but that changed a year ago.

A few days ago, BioWare announced that anyone who purchases Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC for last-generation consoles, will get that said DLC for free when they upgrade. The cross-buy promotion works like this; if you purchase any Inquisition DLC for a PS3, you will be able to download that DLC for free on the PS4. The same goes for the Xbox 360/Xbox One. BioWare has also stated that, "this offer applies only to the DLC, not the main game, which must be purchased separately."

While it does not say in the fine print on this offer, it is very likely BioWare will allow all purchasable DLC to follow suit with this deal. Right now until August 30th, you can play The Witch Queen, Beyond Light, and Shadowkeep DLCs for free and you can snag the 30th Anniversary DLC for free through Epic Games Store.
