Biaapa's jurisdiction covers an area of about 1485 sq km, which includes parts of Bangalore Rural District, Chikkaballapur District, and Devanahalli Taluk. Biaapa's main functions are to prepare master plans, zoning regulations, development schemes, and building bye-laws for the airport area; to approve layouts, building plans, and land use conversions; to levy fees and charges for development; and to coordinate with other authorities and stakeholders for integrated development.


The benefits and challenges of Biaapa




Biaapa has brought many benefits to the airport area, such as improved infrastructure, enhanced connectivity, increased employment, diversified economy, and better living standards. Some of the major projects that have been initiated or completed under Biaapa are the Aerospace Park, the Hardware Park, the IT Investment Region, the Devanahalli Business Park, the Nandi Hills Tourism Circuit, and the Aero City.
